Photo Logo: Internet Orientation and Security

Credit from Regie Malicdem, President of ICSS
This is the Logo the first activity of Information and Computing Students Society from San Carlos College.

The objective of this activity will be strengthening research related activities by utilizing the latest access in information – Internet, also to awake the students from the security policies over the internet so that students will maximize their internet allocation for research basis only.

The Internet Orientation is exclusively for the 1st year CICS students and will conduct at August 2011. This will be a Seminar-Workshop with 2 batches (1st batch morning; 2nd batch afternoon). In-house speakers will be lecturing the students.

The expected outcome of conducting this activity is to maximize the students’ internet allocation for research basis only and to make them aware about the issue of internet security.

I just want to share the logo that i have created. I hope that you'll be inspired to set up your own design. Thank you very much!

Planking Photography

Planking on the grass
The fine art of planking, where people are photographed face down with stiffened arms and legs, has already swept out of Australia and taken the world by storm. Formally called “the laying down game,” it has encouraged people to produce surprising and surreal images that have entertained millions of people all over the world.

Planking is a fast-growing, but possibly dangerous, game – started in England, most popular in Australia, but spreading worldwide – in online society where people post up their pictures of lying down on some of the most unusual and obscure places.
How does one plank? The rules are simple. The planker (person who planks) lies face down, palms attached to the side, and pretends to be a wooden board. The more innovative is the setting, the more attention you get.

This is a movie from Jesica Soho Reports featuring The Planking Photography:

People have been planking on the street, on popular tourist places, outdoor grill, on a basketball hoop, and even on an airplane and post their pictures in online social networking groups such as Facebook. The numbers are keep increasing and there are now several Facebook pages with over 100,000 “likes”.

Photopreneurship

Photo + Entrepreneurship = Photopeneurship

Photopreneurship is about selling and making money from photos in new ways and is not limited to professional photographers who market very traditionally. This is one kind of Service Industry that may also be a Product Industry because you can sell your service at a certain time but you can also provide a good product output to be sell to the masses.

Brief History of Photography

Old Photography and later turns to Digital Photography
Although photography is over 200 years old, digital imaging actually predates photography. The Romans and Greeks grouped small tiles to make up a picture. We call these mosaics, the reality is that they are pictures made up of hundreds or thousands of small coloured tiles just like today’s digital images.

The Photography as we known from now started with a camera and the basic idea has been around since about the 5th Century B.C. For centuries these were just ideas until an Iraqi scientist developed something called the camera obscura sometime in the 11th Century. Even then, the camera did not actually record images, they simply projected them onto another surface. The images were also upside down. The first camera obscuras used a pinhole in a tent to project an image from outside the tent into the darkened area. It took until the 17th Century for camera obscuras to be made small enough to be portable and basic lenses to be added.

Digital Arts in Photography

Photo from Nico RÖbel
Hello Guys! How are you today? Parenthetically, this is actually my initial moment of entering the world of blogging. And this is so marvelous! This is one way to share your ideas quickly all over the whole humankind.

First of all it’s my pleasure to welcome you on Digital Arts in Photography. This blog lets you see multiple ideas about the trends of photo enhancement.

I have preferred Digital Arts in Photography as a title of my blog because it won’t let go out of my mind. When my decision has completed, I’ve started reviewing my information to represent all the topics about photography. But this includes several topics such as start capturing good image, editing and enhancing them and lots more. I hope this blog would successfully do well to unleash your doubt in digital arts.
